1. Why does Gaiyo request a payment of 1 cent?
Gaiyo offers various services that are paid for via direct debit. To enable this, you must confirm your bank account number (IBAN) and authorize us to do so.
2. How does the 1 cent transfer work?
- You make a one-time payment of €0.01 via our payment provider Mollie.
- With this payment, you give us permission to execute future direct debits.
- At the same time, your IBAN is linked to your Gaiyo Account.
3. Is the 1 cent payment mandatory?
Yes. Without this confirmation, your account number cannot be registered and no payments or direct debits for booked trips and services can be made.
4. Is this secure?
Yes. Mollie is a payment provider recognized and strictly regulated by the Dutch Central Bank. The 1 cent payment is used exclusively to verify your account number and activate the direct debit authorization.
5. Will the 1 cent be refunded later?
No. The payment of €0.01 will not be refunded. It is purely an administrative action to securely and correctly link your account to your bank account.
In short: the 1 cent payment via Mollie confirms your IBAN and gives Gaiyo the authorization to execute future direct debits for your booked services.
